When testing is ordered
In the office on Highway Drive, or mobile — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Pre-employment / pre-access
Before a hire starts, or before a site lets them through the gate.
Post-incident / accident
After an event, while the facts are still fresh. Call and we move.
Reasonable suspicion
When a supervisor has documented signs and the policy says test.
Follow-up
Scheduled tests under a return-to-work or monitoring agreement.
Random
When the employer’s program draws a name. We don’t run their random pool.
Court, private, and other
Court orders, private requests, and anything that doesn’t fit the list above.
U.S. DOT
DOT drug and alcohol testing when the order and the federal custody form say so. In the office or mobile, same as every other collection.
DOT urine — laboratory
Split specimen on the federal custody-and-control form, shipped to the lab named on that form. Not an express cup.
DOT breath alcohol
Screen on an approved device. A result at or over the DOT cut-off is confirmed before it is treated as final.
Agency on the order
FMCSA, FAA, FRA, FTA, PHMSA, or USCG — whichever the custody form names. We do not swap in a non-DOT panel.
Occupational drug — non-DOT
Workplace panels for Canadian and other non-DOT programs. Separate paperwork from a DOT collection.
Urine express
Point-of-care screen. You get a preliminary read at the collection.
Urine laboratory
Sealed specimen to the lab named on the requisition, with MRO review.
Oral fluid express
Mouth swab screen when the program wants a shorter detection window.
Oral fluid laboratory
Swab collected for the lab, express or lab-only as the order says.
Breath alcohol — non-DOT
A breathalyzer test for the cut-off written on the order.

Screen on site. A non-negative or over-cutoff result is confirmed the way the ordering company requires before anyone treats it as final.
Monitoring or court order
Longer-window alcohol and drug markers, collected the way the order is written.
Blood-spot — PEth
Phosphatidylethanol. A blood-spot card for longer-term alcohol use.
EtG — urine alcohol
Ethyl glucuronide in urine. Recent alcohol use, not a breath test.
Hair testing
A hair specimen for the window the laboratory and the program specify.
Also in the office
Quantitative respirator fit testing — half-face and full-face, 3M and North (Honeywell) — on an annual cycle under CSA Z94.4-18 (R2023), the way WorkSafeBC expects. Safety supplies are available to purchase on request.
Fit testingWho sends the order
Primal Safety is a certified collection facility for CannAmm, DriverCheck, SureHire, and many other programs. Testing for these companies is booked or scheduled through the employer or requestor.
